Sadly lyme is very much alive & kicking, carried by ticks who love damp weather this illness can be mild, or can indeed be really devastating. Early treated cases have more chances of successful recovery, however due to lack of knowledge often patients diagnoses are missed, creating a long term difficult to treat illness resembling the symptoms of MS & ME or fibromyalgia.
